Accessories are a thing that can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive. Whether you use a Computer, DSLR Camera or High-end music setups you must have used a lot of accessories with them till now. Today I am talking about 10 Must-Have Accessories for Audiophiles, which is very useful and mainly focuses on your portable audio gears. So let’s start.
Carrying Case
If you all have a portable setup, i.e DAP + IEM then no doubt you carry them wherever you go. Carrying portable audio gears is painful because I don’t want to let my IEM and DAP tumble around my backpack. Most of the time we use stock carry-case or Pelican like a hard carrying case, now the problem is to keeping everything inside a single carry case. Recently I have reviewed the DD C-2019 carry case, which is an exceptional accessory designed for carrying the complete portable setup. DD C-2019 is strong, durable and stylish too.

Once you have a portable digital audio player that supports OTG file sharing, then no need to worry about carrying high capacity micro SD cards. You can easily carry all your offline music files inside a USB stick and use a high-quality OTG adapter to connect it with you DAP. ifi OTG adapters available for both type C and micro USB devices and I can recommend it over any other OTG adapter due to durability and well-shielded design.

Line-Out Cable
3.5 mm to 3.5 mm short line out cables are used to connect DAC/DAP with external Amplifiers. This type of connection needs a good cable otherwise problems like connection drop or poor sound output may occur. I have seen most people use a high-quality DIY line out cable but if you want something branded then I can easily recommend Shanling L1. Both quality and style have maintained in Shaling L1.

USB OTG Cables
Finding a working USB OTG cable is really hard. Either you want to connect your phone with your DAC or your DAP with your DAC, a good shielded OTG USB cable is a must-have. Connection configurations differ from brand to brand so picking up the right cable is not an easy job. DD Hi-Fi has some wonderful, well-shielded USB OTG cables and after using them I can say most of the time they work like a charm.

Leather Care Kit
This accessory is weird but believe me very useful. Audio and Leather both reflect the sense of luxury so brands always use leather on audio gears like DAP case, Headphone headbands, Earpads, etc. Now in harsh climates keeping leathers intact is near impossible. But with an extra bit of care and nurture, you can keep them soft and moist. Though Audeze’s leather care kit is made for only earpads, you can use it on any leather as I use it on my DAP case.

Analog Adapters
With the introduction of 2.5 and 4.4 mm balanced audio plugs, analog adapters are now a very useful accessory to have. With these adapters, you no longer need to buy a new cable every time. Lots of adapters from different brands available now but if you want to something compact DD DJ35A DJ44A is a perfect solution. Other than that Penon analog adapters are also my favorite and come for almost every possible connection.
Eartips
Eartips are the most important accessory among 10 Must-Have Accessories for Audiophiles. They are responsible for the final sound we experience from an IEM. Though most of us depend on the free supplied ear tips with the IEM, others have their favorite third party ear tips. Factors like comfort, proper sealing, bore size, and bore design is what one consider while purchasing third-party tips. Brands like Spinfit, JVC, Comply and Symbio tips are very famous but my favorite is Spinfit CP240.

Headset Converter Plug
IEM cables are the first thing that fails over time. So detachable IEM is what people prefer nowadays. Now the problem is the way the cable connects with the IEM. MMCX and 2 pin connections are mostly used now but if you have a good 2 pin cable and want to use with a newly purchased MMCX IEM then these headset converter plugs are very useful. Both 2 pin to MMCX and MMCX to 2 pin plugs are available.

Magic Sticker
Audiophiles, who likes to carry portable DAC and AMP stacks; keeping both DAC and AMP together is a challenge for them. Most of them use Velcro tapes for attaching and reattaching quickly but there is a product like xDuoo magic tape that works like a magic as its name suggests. These sticky pads are very useful to hold the two devices and can easily be removed and washed.

Headphone VAC
This is a tool rather than an accessory and only for custom fit IEM users. VAC means a vacuum pump, these small vacuum pumps are specially designed with fine tips so that custom-fit IEMs can be easily cleaned. Over time ear wax blocks the sound tubes of IEMs so having such a powerful fine tip vacuum pump can be really useful to clean your precious custom-fit IEM.
